The CVS Caremark Corporate Summer Internship Program in Texas is located at our Irving Operation Center and other neighboring Irving locations. The Irving Operation Center houses many of the corporate functions of our business, including Human Resources, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Corporate Compliance. Our 12-story Irving Facility has just under 1,000 of our colleagues, a full state-of-the-art fitness center, as well as an on-site cafeteria. This facility is located right outside of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and is a mere 15-20 minutes from the airport. It's close to great restaurants, shopping and hotels.

What will I be doing?

Interns work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, in a supportive learning environment, working both independently and as part of team on a project or multiple projects designed to achieve department goals and objectives.

Program Components include:

Working on real-time projects and initiatives while contributing directly to your department’s performance
Structured orientation and overall program plan
Feedback and career development discussions with your leader
Networking with other leaders in the organization (including executive leader touch bases for MBA interns)
Developmental and social activity participation with other current interns and previous interns now in permanent roles within the organization
Opportunity to learn about the CVS Caremark organization as a whole, outside of your particular business unit
Competitive compensation including hourly rate; additional potential stipend may be available for select candidates based on individual relocation and housing needs

Who is eligible for the Internship Program?

Students eligible for the Corporate Internship Program must meet the following criteria:

Candidates for undergraduate internships must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a four year college or university and entering their senior year in fall of 2013; candidates for MBA internships must be enrolled in a one or two year MBA program
Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
Study in a program applicable to the internships available
Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the duration of the program (10 weeks)
Submit completed application by the deadline
Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
Have ability to work in the United States with no restrictions
Have local housing for length of the program
